Sibshops

Sibshops are community-based ,peer support programs for the brothers and sisters of children with special needs. This 6 week program begins September 28th from 6:30-8pm at Glen Falls School. Contact Jill.roberts@horizonnb.ca or call (506)632-5552 for further information.

Open House

Forest Hills School Open House will be September 20th, Monday from 6:30-7:30 in the theatre.There are several openings for the PSSC ( Parent School Support Committee).Interested parents can submit nominations to the school principal or from the floor at the Open House. There is also an information session for parents of current Grade 3 FI students on the same day , September 20th from 5:30- 6:30 in the theatre.

School Supply Lists 2010-2011

Please be advised that our school supply lists for 2010-2011 are posted on our school website. Simply go to the "Homework" tab on our homepage and select the grade level your child will be in next fall for their list. Lists will also be on file at Staples and at the School District 8 Office (658-5330).

Gulu Walk 2010

We are please to celebrate our 2010 Gulu Walk event that took place Friday, June 4th. Younger students walked in the afternoon while many of our older students participated in the evening event and walked 8km to raise awareness and money to support youth initiatives in Uganda. Mrs. Dunlop's Grade 3 Class Wins Contest

We are please to annoucement that Mrs. Dunlop's class has won the Reading is Cool Contest sponsored by Country Inn and Suites and Canwest Raise A Reader Program. As the contest winners the school will recieve an award of $1000 to support our school library. We would like to thank the students for their hard work and Mrs. Dunlop for encouraging their participation in this initiative.

Forest Hills Students Excel at District Heritage Fair

Forest Hills School is please to acknowledge and congratulate several of our students who where recognized at School District 8's Regional Heritage Fair which told place at the New Brunswick Museum.

Also, Emmy Keddy "Fire in Minto" recieved the Nancy Award (sponsored by the New Brunswick Advisory Council on the Status of Women)
