Read-A Thon
The Read-A-Thon begins today. Please have your child begin the 20 minutes per day reading requirement. Be sure to fill in the reading log daily. It should be returned to the school along with the pledges at the end of this five-day read-a thon or by February 4th. Thank you for your participation .

Grade Six 2009 Registration
Grade 5 Students Register for Grade 6 2009
District 8 is currently collecting registration forms from all students in the District who will be attending Grade 6 in September 2009. All students must return a completed form to the school no later than February 20, 2009.
Students may register to continue in the English Program or the Early French Immersion Program here at Forest Hills or they may chose to register in the Late Immersion Program at Bayside Middle School.
The District is hosting a Information Session regarding Late French Immersion at Bayside Middle School on Wednesday, February 4th at 7:00pm. All interested parents are welcome to attend.
Please feel free to contact your child's homeroom teacher or Ms. McGrath at 658-5992 if you have any further questions or concerns.

FHS Falcons play with World Champion Pond Hockey Team

Forest Hills School students Bailey Beshara, Noah Benoit, Greg Boudreau, Kurtis Olsen and
Corey Adams participated in a promotional event at Lily Lake with the World Pond Hockey Champions for an upcoming fundraiser called the Pavillion Cup that will raise money for summer programs at Rockwood Park. Read-A Thon
In the next few days you/your child will be receiving information on a Read-A Thon that will be taking place at the school the week of January 25-30.You should receive a reading log, pledge sheet, a parent letter and a rewards catalog. Please read over the information. During the week of January26-30 students will read 20 minutes per day. Make sure to fill in the reading log daily. Students will receive 1 point for every $5 in pledges. These points will allow your child to receive reward books. On Wednesday, February 4th, students need to turn in their student log, pledge money and completed book reward order form. We are sure you and your child will enjoy this program!
