Hot Lunch Order for March 9-13

Hot Lunch Orders Memo:

Due to the recent snow days please be advised.

If your son/daughter was scheduled to receive hot lunch on either Thursday, March 19 or Monday, March 23, their order will be carried forward to Monday, March 9 and Thursday, March 12. You do not need to reorder for those dates and should not send in orders or money with this week's order.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. McGrath at the school.

Fundraiser

The Grades 3-5 classrooms have recently been awarded an Innovative Learning Fund Grant. The grant consists of 27 brand new laptop computers and each homeroom teacher will have access to the computers for a 1/2 day per week to facilitate the teaching and learning that is going on in their classrooms.

As part of the grant we have a financial commitment of raising $1000 and are looking for your help. Thank you to those of you who were able to support our fundraising and contributed to the baskets we are now selling tickets on. Although students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets at school during the noon hour, tickets have also been attached for students to sell to family members at home. The cost of tickets is $1.00. Please indicate on the back of the ticket the basket you are purchasing a ticket for: Bed and Bath, Baking, Valentine’s Basket, or Easter Bucket. All tickets must be returned with payment by Tuesday, February 24th. All prizes will be drawn Thursday, February 26th, 2009.

In Pink Presentation (Grades 6-8)

All middle level students will be attending a special presentation at Imperial Theatre on March 12th titled "In Pink". The underlying theme of this presentation is Bullying Education. Forest Hills School will be supplementing the cost of this event, however we are requesting $3.00 from each student to assist with the cost. Money is payable to your child's homeroom teacher. All students are encouraged to wear pink for this event to support Bullying Awareness. Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week (TSAW)
February 9-13th

Help Forest Hills Home & School show our teachers and staff how much we care. On Wednesday, February 11th, we will offer the employees of Forest Hills School dessert and tea/coffee.

If you are able to contribute something yummy, please send it into the school on Tuesday, February 10th. Volunteers will be in the kitchen/breakfast room to collect donations.

Just a reminder that students pledge money, reading log/pledge sheet and rewards catalog are due back on Wednesday, Feb.4. Please make sure the rewards catalog indicates the free book(s)your child will receive. They get 1 point for every $5 in pledges. Thank you for your continued support.
